In all, the third recognition, a figure just reached in Spain by the Goya Awards so far. From next edition (Huesca Festival number 46), which will be held from 8th to 16th of June, the three Danzante Award winning short films at each of their respective contest will be automatically shortlisted to the prestigious US awards. In this way, Documentary contest joins Iberoamerican and International categories which had been distinguished likewise 24 years ago.<\/p>\n<p>Huesca Festival thus joins the aforementioned Goya Awards and ZINEBI, as the only film events in Spain which are Oscar qualifying for Documentary short films. In the fiction category there are to be found, in addition to Huesca, the Goya Awards and ZINEBI, the festivals of Gij\u00f3n, Sitges, ALCINE and Animayo, this last one for animation. Hollywood Academy has appreciated the work carried out in the last years by Huesca Festival; more than 200 documentary short films shortlisted in the last five editions, reaching 350 this year. Similarly, it has been taken into account the recent winning list, where we may find works like 9 Days From My Window in Aleppo, which was awarded best short in the European Film Awards; and also the jury status, with outstanding names as National Film Award Lola Salvador, journalist Rosa Mar\u00eda Calaf or filmmakers Guillermo Garc\u00eda L\u00f3pez and Judith Colell, among others.<\/p>\n<p>This new support is an excellent piece of news for the management team; \u2019there has been a great deal of work to achieve this distinction and we are very proud that the work of so many people and teams throughout all our history continues to bear fruit.
