In recent years, direct government subsidies have been complemented by tax incentives, which can be combined to finance film projects.<\/p>\n<p>Introduced in 2021, a new mechanism was incorporated into the Spanish Corporate Income Tax Act to facilitate private investment, offering a simpler alternative to the loan agreement.<\/p>\n<p>In this masterclass, renowned filmmaker and producer <strong>Gaizka Urresti<\/strong> will guide fellow producers, who have yet to utilize this mechanism, through the key steps to successfully leverage it in their project financing endeavors.[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator color=&#8221;black&#8221; border_width=&#8221;2&#8243;][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;50548&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221;][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;3\/4&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h5><strong>GAIZKA URRESTI<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>He holds a degree in Communication Sciences from UPV\/EHU and has a career spanning over 30 years as a producer, screenwriter, director, professor, and cultural manager in both film and television.<\/p>\n<p>He has been a professor at the University of San Jorge and CPA in Zaragoza, and has conducted a large number of workshops in Spain and abroad.<\/p>\n<p>He has directed 16 short films that have received over 100 national and international awards, including the Goya Award for Best Fiction Short Film in 2014 for <i>Abstenerse agencias <\/i>(Agency Not Allowed). He has also directed five feature films, with the last two being <i>Aute retrato<\/i> (2019), nominated for the Goya and Forqu\u00e9 Awards, and <i>Labordeta: Un hombre sin m\u00e1s, <\/i>co-directed with Paula Labordeta, which has garnered over 30,000 viewers in theaters and won the Goya and Forqu\u00e9 Awards.<\/p>\n<p>As a producer, in addition to his own films, he has produced several short films and 7 feature films.
