Berlin in February: cold and grey. For Foteini and Elena, who come from sunny Greece and Italy, it is their first winter in Germany. As newcomers to the big city, they are searching for what life might have to offer them. Overwhelmed by the multitude of possibilities, they try to settle in Berlin while also attempting to reconcile their longing for their distant homelands with their aspirations. But the question remains: are their dreams really the same?

Myriam Arleth

As part of an internship at Mediaschool Bayern, she created the film Im Namen Gottes, which won a prize at the youth and children’s film festival Flimmern und Rauschen in 2019. During her apprenticeship as a media designer specializing in image and sound, she made the short film Eine kurze Zeit. After that, she worked in Madrid for Smiz&Pixel as an assistant director and production assistant. In 2023, she began her studies in directing at the Film University Konrad Wolf Babelsberg.
