THE BORDER

A young man, Petya, tries to leave Russia due to the announced mobilization, but he is detained at the border and prohibited from leaving the country. Petya decides to lie low in a nearby border town for a while, unaware that danger awaits him even there.

Graduated from the Screenwriting Program at the Moscow School of New Cinema, he worked for several years as a screenwriter for Russian TV series and films, as well as a playwright for Theatre.doc. Later, he enrolled in the Marina Razbezhkina and Mikhail Ugarov School of Documentary Film and Theatre and directed a feature-length documentary about a traveling circus, Joy. Following that, he spent several years filming a documentary series about circuses around the world, titled Silk Road.
