Luca, a young photographer, arrives in a village in Asturias to work on an artistic project. There, he stays with Xuan, an experienced cheesemaker marked by a past full of rumors and prejudices. Through Luca’s camera and Xuan’s craft, they both discover unexpected connections in an intimate encounter between two seemingly opposing worlds.

Roberto F. Canuto, Xu Xiaoxi

Roberto F. Canuto (Gijón, Spain) and Xu Xiaoxi (Chengdu, China), graduates in Audiovisual Communication and Fine Arts with a specialization in Video Art respectively, began their collaboration during a master’s degree in Directing in Los Angeles. Their career includes works in the USA, China, and Spain. Notable among their films is Sunken Plum, which has been presented in 50 countries and has won over 30 awards. In their work, they explore cultural roots and address diversity and the LGBTIQ+ community.
