DONDE REVIENTAN LAS LUCIÉRNAGAS

A broken family, a mother and her two preteen children, escape the heat and violence to spend an unplanned weekend in the sierras of Córdoba, Argentina. But between storm clouds, a stalking cell phone and migraines, rest and peace do not seem to be part of the landscape.

Miguel Ángel Papalini

He was born in Córdoba, Argentina. As a screenwriter, his first feature film Packing Heavy (Argentina) premiered at Berlinale in 2018. His second project, The Other Shore (Peru), participated in the Sundance Script Lab in 2024 and won funding from Ibermedia and the CNC of France. Additionally, he has written the animated series Obreres Animades (Argentina). Where the fireflies burst (Argentina), his first short film as a director, won the INCAA Short Stories contest in 2022.
