A pedicurist in a small-town populated by human-animal hybrids, Paula the lonely centaur-girl longs to have human feet. When she meets Arnold the handsome crocodile-man, it is love at first sight. Both, however, are denying their true selves in an attempt to meet the other’s expectations, and their romantic idyll is soon shattered by conflict.

Viktória Traub

Viktória Traub graduated with an MA in Animation from the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest in 2008. She is currently pursuing a Multimedia DLA at MOME. Her shorts Iron Egg and Mermaids and Rhinos received invitations to many international festivals. In 2018, Mermaids and Rhinos was named Best Animation of the Year by the Association of Hungarian Film Critics. Her latest film, Shoes and Hooves, explores the dilemmas of making connections, fitting in and self-acceptance.
